Nepali Congress acting President Ram Chandra Poudel said that Nepali Congress that had taken leadership in constitution promulgation will again take leadership in its implementation.
Addressing the inaugural session of 13th General Convention of Nepali Congress, leader Poudel said that world will recognise Nepal as society based on democracy and equality.
He said that dissatisfaction of agitating Madhes-based parties can be addressed by amending the constitution and that the Madhesi Morcha should not hold the country hostage of political indecisiveness. “We are liberal towards all grievances of Morcha including state demarcation,” said Poudel.
Nepali Congress General Secretary and NC presidential candidate Krishna Prasad Sitaula has said that country has witnessed most of its changes under the leadership of Nepali Congress. He recalled NC’s veteran leaders BP Koirala, Ganeshman Singh, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, Girija Prasad Koirala’s contribution towards the country.
He mentioned that constitution was successfully promulgated under the government leadership of late NC President Sushil Koirala.
