Hong Kong will be in for another tough test as they take on Afghanistan in their second game of the World T20 qualifiers on Thursday (10 March) at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur.
Afghanistan gave a solid account of themselves when they fought back hard to defeat Scotland on Tuesday. Earlier that day, Hong Kong were at the receiving end of a defeat by much-stronger Zimbabwe.
Without any doubt, Afghanistan will walk into the game as favourites. But they would have learnt from the opening round that victories do not really come easy at the ICC World T20. Afghanistan will be keen on ironing out the chinks before they go into the potentially group-leader-deciding match against Zimbabwe. They should keep faith in the same side and hope for a more emphatic performance.
